Before commissioning me please first read the steps to understand my process.

1. REFERENCE PHOTO

   There are 2 options here. I can travel to your location to take my own photos for reference. Meeting the client is helpful to me in many ways because I get to know their personality, we can discuss how they'd like to be immortalised and we can explore different ideas on site. From there we can take around 10 photos to capture the perfect portrait.

   You can choose to send me a high resolution image of the subject you want, so long as it doesn’t break any copyright infringements

2. CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIZE AND MATERIAL

   I am always happy to advise on the size, and material of the portrait. If you are unsure what kind of a portrait would suit your home, please let me know in the email and we can discuss it together. I now also work on thick water colour paper which will be mounted onto a thick backing card for support.

3. PAYMENT & PRICING

   Pricing depends on all of the above. For quotes please use the contact page.

   I ask for a 50%  deposit before starting the work and after we've agreed on the details of the commission. The remaining 50% is to be collected once the burning is completed and accepted - prior to any varnishing or shipping. Any extra fees (shipping, framing) will also be payable at this time. 

4. TIMESCALE

   Depending on the size of the commissioned burning, it may take me 1-3 months to deliver a complete portrait. The size will also dictate how long it will take me to find the ideal canvas of wood.
